Started in 1995 as Anvil Limited, today Anvil Advisors is an investment banking advisory and consulting firm for start-ups and middle market companies (revenues up to $50-100+ million range). It focuses on M&A "sell side" advisory work and "institutional quality" equity private placements (in the $5-10+ million range). Anvil is not a "business broker" but a trusted investment banker, a critical distinction in a harsh business climate. Anvil accepts only a limited number of engagements and in each case offers an objective, hands-on senior banker focus to complement the client's management team. Anvil also offers and has access to industry management expertise in financial IT, Internet, telecommunications and a broad range of high technology applications.

The reality today for most of Anvil's clients is that strategic alternatives (M&A) need to be considered as well as traditional financings. Anvil can work hard and quickly under these circumstances to define successful strategies and then pursue concrete action plans to maximize the alternatives.
